Cookie policy
SIRCATREE does not use analytics, advertising, social media tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.
Last updated: 17 July 2026. Policy version 1.0.
What cookies are used
| Name | Purpose | Typical duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
sessionid | Keeps you securely signed in and maintains your session. | Up to 2 weeks, or until expiry | Strictly necessary |
csrftoken | Protects forms and account actions against cross-site request forgery. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
messages | May briefly hold a signed status message, such as confirmation that an action succeeded. | Until the next request, or up to 1 year if unused | Strictly necessary |
Cookie names can gain a standard Django prefix if deployment settings are changed. These first-party cookies are not used to profile you.
Your preference record
For signed-out visitors, the choice is stored in browser local storage under sircatree_cookie_preferences. Local storage is not a cookie and is not sent with web requests. For signed-in users, the choice is also saved to their SIRCATREE account so it can be remembered on other devices.
The optional “preferences” category is available for first-party convenience features. No feature currently places an optional cookie. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off because secure sign-in and forms would not work without them.
Third-party resources
The site currently loads Bootstrap styling and scripts from jsDelivr. This is a resource request rather than an analytics integration; SIRCATREE does not ask jsDelivr to set tracking cookies. Your browser may disclose ordinary request information such as your IP address and user agent to that provider.
Changing your choice
Reopen the preference panel at any time. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser; doing so may sign you out.
